DSi v1.4 firmware happening now in Japan, bringing Facebook connectivity along for the ride

Back at E3 2009 it was announced that Nintendo would roll out the capability to upload photo to Facebook from the DSi . Well, we’re hearing from Engadget Japanese that that firmware updating is now occurring. It’s a pretty minor update which includes the aforementioned ability to upload photos to Facebook, and brings a faster “image display speed” in the DSi’s camera.

Xbox Live dashboard update preview invites begin rolling out

New BlackBerry Storm OS coming to Verizon on May 31st

So let it be written, so let it be done. Rejoice, Verizon Storm owners, because the OS update you’ve been literally dying for has finally arrived. We just received official word from our pals at VZW that a new Storm OS, 4.7.0.148, will be released on Sunday, May 31st at 3pm. According to Verizon, this is a “general maintenance release that improves the overall user experience.” Proactive users can hit blackberry.com/update at that point in time to get the ball rolling.

Android 1.5 update for T-Mobile G1 now rolling out, for real this time

There have been a whole bunch of false starts on this, but honestly, folks — for real, we’re not messing around — T-Mobile has finally started distributing Android 1.5 over-the-air to American G1 owners. This means that anyone who hasn’t taken the time to install the update of their own accord is just about to get hooked up without any intervention whatsoever, bringing third-party widget support, a virtual keyboard, email and messaging improvements, a revised UI, and of course, an endless font of delicious pastries that will make you morbidly obese if you eat enough of them over time. Honestly, while you’re waiting for the update to arrive, hop on the treadmill for a few minutes. It’s not going to kill you.
