Michael Jackson Tribute Song Exceeds 100,000 Plays
A tribute song to Michael Jackson featuring The Game, Chris Brown, Diddy, Usher, Mario Winans, Boyz2Men and other leading artists has resulted in an unprecedented number of downloads today from Box.net, the file sharing site we’ve been tracking for over 3 years. The song was spread largely through social media: Diddy tweeted the link to his almost 1.3 million Twitter followers, making “ Better On The Other Side ” the most popular link on Twitter today by far (at the time of writing, it has almost 2000 retweets). While Box.net does not usually disclose its stats, we approached the company and received approval to make the numbers public.
